Every Picture Tells A Story 2
Local Artists with Local Writers
The Cambria Center for the Arts is proud to present its second collaborative exhibition pairing original paintings with written interpretations by local authors. Following the success of last year’s Every Picture Tells a Story show, the exhibit returns to the CCA in the Studio.
This year’s exhibition continues the artistic conversation, inviting visitors to experience how imagery and imagination intertwine. Each painting is displayed alongside its corresponding written interpretation, offering multiple layers of meaning and perspective.
In addition to the in-studio presentation, each artwork features a QR code linking to an audio version of the story, narrated by an AI voice and accessible on visitors’ smartphones—offering another way to engage with the work. The exhibition can also be experienced online through our Virtual Studio Exhibition.
Join us in the Studio for this celebration of collaboration, creativity, and community.
Still…
A Juried Award Exhibit, Juror Jan French
The theme, 'Still…', is deliberately flexible to allow for creative interpretation. A painting might be called 'Still Married', another might be 'Still Life', and yet another 'The Whiskey Still'. The artists are required to put the word 'Still' in the title, allowing the viewers to understand how it fits into the theme.
Installed works will be judged by renowned Central Coast artist, Jan French. Cash prizes will be awarded at the artist reception on Saturday, May 2, from 4:30 to 6pm.
